The Story

Set in the 1970s, Bud Delgado, a washed-up disc jockey in his 30s, Hosts the nightly program in a rundown South Florida radio station in the middle of nowhere. Exiled to his current surroundings after a scandal cost him his previous gig at a popular station, Bud is given a second chance at redemption. Hope arrives when Sidney Pressman, an old colleague of Delgado's and now a representative for a large media conglomerate, arrives looking to buy the studio. Sidney's interest lies with the station's newest installment, Providence.
As Bud prepares to persuade Sidney for redemption by showing him their latest addition... chaos strikes. As the overhead storm rages, a lightning bolt strikes the station. When Providence, the station's song-sorting supercomputer, absorbs the surge of electricity, it gains sentience during a storm and starts terrorizing the station workers. Bud is forced into a situation where he must fight for his life as well as his crew's. As they fall one by one, the tension between Bud and Sidney rises. To redeem himself, Bud must make the ultimate sacrifice in order to stop Providence—himself.
A thrilling and engulfing tale of utter mayhem in this story of man versus machine. Birthed from the mind of Alexander Ontiveros, "AirWaves" is an homage to classic monster movies, in particular John Carpenter's The Thing. With many experienced hands dedicated to this project, you can feel every carefully crafted detail.
