A journey into sonic terror.
Meet the Crew

Alexander Ontiveros
Co-Director, Story Writer, Producer, and Casting Director
Alex Ontiveros is a filmmaker, artist and photographer. A lifelong Miamian, Alex took inspiration from local radio stations and the unique subtropical environment of South Florida as a basis for the very first drafts of the Airwaves script. Alex’s love for old-fashioned methods of storytelling in the movies, from how the camera is used to the use of stop-motion and practical effects, have determined the artistic direction of his projects. When he’s not filming a movie either behind the camera or throwing himself onto the floor in front of the camera, you can find him drawing in a sketchbook or taking a photograph or two of an interesting-looking wall.

Joel Guevara
Co-Director, Executive Producer, Production Designer, Assistant Property Master, Casting Associate, Assistant Location Manager, and Production Transportation
Born and raised in Miami, FL. Joel Guevara is no stranger to the rich Hispanic culture, raised in a strong working Hispanic family. Joel Guevara started his own vinyl company, SUPER WRAPPING BROS LLC at the age of 28. However, he still had more to accomplish. His passion for film led him to venture onto a path of the arts. After working on several short films, Joel found his devotion in production designing, creating miniature sets and killing machines for a short film “Airwaves”. Joel’s creative mind has led him to be the production designer for many short films and music videos. His biggest accomplishment in this industry, came with directing his first music video “COGELA” with the upcoming star "EL IGOR". This music video went on to win several awards. His ambition for trying new things and exploring new challenges in life has now led him to another project in life. His own production company.

Howard Brande
Writer, Producer, Casting Director, First Assistant Director, and Location Manager
Howard Brande (Howie), a United States Marine Corps veteran, lifelong lover of film, teacher of the craft of storytelling through visual mediums, podcaster, writer, director, executive producer, 1st assistant director and a true Jack of All Trades. Howie’s journey has winded and weaved through many different parts of his life. From his humble beginnings in New Jersey and seeing his first movie (Blazing Saddles, by the immortal Mel Books), he became enthralled with the idea of film and the “how” to make films happen. From his early love of theater and film, it has been his constant, even when he was working in the government, or the family business or even as a government contractor, the way he unwinds is by watching tv, movies and film and thinking about how things are made/created. When tragedy struck, and he lost his job three years ago, he looked at it as the opportunity to finally pursue his passion and transitioned to filmmaking. Presently finishing his second Bachelor’s Degree at Miami Dade College in Film, Media and Digital Production before pursuing his Masters of Fine Arts in Film. His knowledge and passion for film, filmmaking and film history has allowed him to host a podcast that focused on the South Florida film industry and he is the President, Executive Producer and co-founder of Brain Bucket Productions, LLC along with teaching high school film and middle school photography at the Miami Arts Charter School. His goal is to continue developing original films and television shows with compelling storylines and help develop future filmmakers.
